Commission process

How I work

The initial quote I give you includes one batch of changes at each stage of work, but I am always open to working with a client in a way that feels comfortable, the same goes for contact method – I usually either contact you through here or, if you prefer, through Discord (it’s easier to catch me there)I work in stages - I do like encourage feedback on every one of them, so first I send a very rough sketch with the whole layout, poses, faces just to see if it has the right feel for you.If you find it good, I move to doing linework, then base colours and finally a watermarked version of the finished piece.If you decide that you like it, I will ask you for the second part of the payment and as soon as it comes through, I send the watermark-free version.If you don't want a hands-on approach, we can cut it to just giving a stamp of approval on the sketch and finished version, that's entirely up to you, of course.The whole process can take anywhere from three days to two weeks, depending on how many changes there are, how are communication is flowing, and, honestly, how much real-life work I have, since this is mostly a side income situation for me at this time.

Payment

I don’t accept regular PayPal transfers for security reasons, I had a case of a client cancelling payment.I use PayPal Invoices for safe transactions - they don't require you to have an account, but I will need your email address to which a link with the invoice will be sent and later, if not otherwise stated, the finished artwork as well.I always request a half payment up front, the invoices have this option.

Copyright and use rights

The basic quote I give includes personal use only. If you want to make merch or resell the artwork, you have to let me know in advance, so we can adjust the price for that.Personal use, if you’re not familiar, means that you can only use it for things you will not be making money off of. That includes using it in your fics, in your RPG campaigns, on your social media, as your avatars and background images, even printing for your own enjoyment or as a gift for someone.What’s outside of personal use is: creating merch, reselling, making the art into NFTs, making prints that you want to sell, sending it to zines that will be sold, etc. If you’re not sure if your intended purpose is covered by a personal use copyright, feel free to ask!I will also ask you to let me know if you would like me to not show off the work on my own social media for any reason, otherwise I will share it as something I did (with proper credit to you of course!) on Instagram, X, tumblr, bluesky and in my portfolio.
